“What You See Is What You Get” (aka WYSIWYG) style development tools and editors have been around for ages. They are often derided by some developers as the tools of amateurs but WYSIWYG tools are still a critical tool in app development and, especially, in content management and creation. In this session, Mrina Sugosh will take a look back at the history of and misconceptions around WYSIWYG tooling to better understand how these tools can help developers and designers in content creation.
Let’s embark on a captivating journey through the history of WYSIWYG, unraveling the myths and misconceptions that have clouded its understanding, and peering into the future trends that will reshape how we interact with content creation tools. Mrina will explore the evolution of user interfaces, the impact of changing technology and the implications for designers and developers alike. Join Mrina for an engaging discussion that will leave viewers with fresh perspectives and actionable insights.
